McLaren’s customer team Tekno Autosports won the Bathurst 12 Hour with the new 650S GT3 and set a new lap record. Thanks to that, you win new wallpapers.
As it turns out, McLaren’s 2016 650 GT3 is not only wider than the competition, but also faster. All of their four cars qualified within the top six in Australia, with a pole in the Pro-Am class for customer team Objective Racing and an overall pole and lap record for Van Gisbergen and the Tekno Autosports team.
Not a bad start, especially considering that five different manufacturers lead the race over the 12 hours. In the end, Van Gisbergen came back from an involuntary pit stop with a good fuel strategy to win by a margin of just 1.276 seconds.
It’s hard to believe that a Renaultsport RS 01 can be faster than these monsters from Woking.
